Today I purchased my London Pass. Basically it’s a pass that allows you access to over 55 attractions around London for one price! It’s definitely a great deal since everything in London costs and after a visiting a few sites the pass pays for itself. Not only are you given access to the attractions, but you also don’t have to wait in those long lines. Since I will be traveling around mostly on foot and using trains and the subway (tube) in London I opted to get the pass with a travel option which gives me unlimited access on the tubes and buses. I figured why would I want to spend all that money on cabs when London has one of the best train systems in the world. Virtually everything is accessible by them. With this pass I’ll be able to get off the plane and jump on a train right into the heart of London. And it’s all paid for in advance. This definitely eases my mind.

Couchsurfing is basically freeloading high-tech style. LOL. The way it works is that you go to www.couchsurfing.com and register yourself and whether you have a couch for someone to sleep on and when it’s available. You can also search for people that have couches in parts of the world you plan on visiting. It’s sort of like a foreign exchange student program for people that wish to travel, host, or both…just without the foreign exchange student. I’ve known about this site for quite a while but didn’t realize what a hidden gem it was. There are over 1 million members in 231 countries on this site! It’s definitely something worth checking out if you are a traveler on a limited budget like moi!

I went for a hike to this place called Rattlesnake Lake over the weekend. It was a beautiful day and the scenery was gorgeous. Here are the pictures:

As I lay down to slumber and my eyelids close I’m presented with a pitch black canvas from which I fill with vivid images, adventures, and even nightmares. I dream just about every night, at least 5 dreams each night. And when I awake I still dream. My dreams are what keep me going; they are my motivation which gives this life some kind of purpose. Right now my dream is to travel and see the world. I want to experience all that this world has to offer and meet new and interesting people along the way. I’m at the point in my life where I’m starting to think about what I really desire in life the most and what my passion truly is. At this very moment I cannot think of anything else that I’d rather do than travel. I read somewhere once that there is a test to determine what your true passion is. Basically, what you do is think random thoughts of things that you might like to do. Not just think about them briefly but put some serious thought into it and the thing that almost brings you to tears when you think of it, that’s your passion. When I visualize myself on the open road or laying on the beach of an island far away my eyes always begin to swell up. At that point I decided that I will pursue my passion for travel and create ways to make it a reality. That is my dream.
